This is a sculpture inspired by Yue MinJin.
I rendered the staple facial expression seen in Yue MinJin's work in 3D (he works largely 2D). I sculpted the model in Nomad Sculpt. And the final rendition was printed in clear resin.

During my time as an IDEALab volunteer, I introduced my local library staff to die-cutting as a way to produce custom materials despite budget cuts. I continue to design assets for library events, helping expand the IDEALab's contributions.

This is a Lino Reduction Cut. It's a printmaking technique where the artist carves into a single lino block to put in all the colors. You start with the lightest colors (ex: light blue for print featured left) to the darkest (ex: green for the print featured left).
You work in a cycle: cut away from the block, add paint, print to the paper (on top of previous layers), and repeat.
